A Glimpse of the school Trips

Aligned with the school curriculum, excursions and educational tours to places of cultural and historical interest, within and outside the country, are organized periodically for students of all classes. These are optional and groups are escorted by the teachers of the school. Classes Nursery to P2 go for picnics and trips in the city.

Duration of trips outside the city is graded, with Class P3 going for an overnight trip, P4 for 3-4 days' duration and P5 participating in longer trips, both within the country and abroad.

Editorial Board

The school magazine- Sandesh, is published biannually. The first volume is released in the month of October /November and the second volume at the end of the academic session. A window into the world of RSJMS, the magazine carries interviews and reports of various cultural events and competitions held in the school and children’s work in the form of articles, poems, travelogues and artwork.

The Editorial Board comprising of students and teachers is responsible for the magazine.

P4s’ Visit to the National Science Centre

An excursion to the National Science Centre was organised for Grade P4 students on two consecutive days, April 25th- 26th, 2024. The aim was to provide an interactive learning experience that supplements classroom education and fosters a deeper understanding of scientific concepts. Children had great fun and learned interesting facts about ancient India, including seeing replicas of Indus pottery. They also explored exhibits that recreated the ambience from the time of the dinosaurs, which added an exciting element to their learning experience. Moreover, students enjoyed visiting the Sardar Patel Gallery where they learned about his significant contribution to the independence of our country.

P3 Visits Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya and National War Memorial

P3 students visited the PradhanmantriSangrahalaya, Teen Murti Bhawan. First, the students visited the Nehru Memorial Museum and Library and then visited Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya, which is a museum built as a tribute to every Prime Minister of India since independence, and a narrative record of how each one has contributed to the development of the nation. It was an enriching experience for the students as India also witnessed the General Elections this year.

On 15th and 16th April, 2024, students of P3 also visited the National War Memorial at India Gate. The National War Memorial is a war memorial in New Delhi, located at India Gate Circle. It has been built to honour and remember soldiers of the Indian Armed Forces who fought in armed conflicts of independent India.

P1s’ Visit to the Traffic Park

As a part of the school’s excursion programme, P1 students went to the Traffic Training Park on 27th and 28th August, at BabaKharak Singh Marg, New Delhi, within school hours, escorted by their respective class teachers. Students were briefed about the importance of obeying traffic rules and road safety norms and were asked to spread the message of road safety among their families and friends. Children were imparted training in traffic drills to make them more aware.
