CLASSROOMS EQUIPPED WITH SMART BOARDS

All classes, from Nursery to P5, have been converted into Smart Board Digi Classes where teachers supplement curriculum with the installed resource data bank that is subject and class specific. Smart Boards make the teaching-learning process more effective for visual and auditory learners. Using technology, teachers are able to explain concepts and create a stimulating learning environment for students. The classrooms are equipped with air purifiers to ensure that the students can work in a pollution free environment.

AUDITORIUM

The Doris David Auditorium of the school is a spacious, air-conditioned hall, furnished with a big stage and the state-of-the-art light and sound equipment that can be connected and controlled digitally. All morning assemblies, school events and functions and inter-school events are held here.

LIBRARY

Through a specifically designed Library Learning Programme, a variety of activities are carried out with the objective of encouraging students to acquire the love for reading. Story narration supplemented by visual aids, listening to stories through audios, post-listening creative activities, visits by eminent authors of children’s books, writing book reviews and summaries, watching informative and enjoyable audio video CDs – all contribute towards enhancing learning.

COMPUTER LABS

RSJMS has two state-of-the-art computer laboratories, where students of classes P1 to P5 are taught computer science on latest systems with updated configuration and high-end multimedia facilities. A suitable curriculum, along with smart pedagogical practices, is the mainstay of teaching technology to students.

Music room

Learning the basics of music is an activity that every child enjoys in school. Trained music teachers teach students to enjoy the art form and also to perform before an audience at Intra-school /Inter-school events.

Dance Room

Dancing on a favourite tune is something that children learn in their natural environment even before they learn to walk. Introducing dance to students from a very young age fosters creativity, team work and physical coordination. The school has two dance rooms, and a weekly dance period for students of classes P1 to P5 ensures exposure to the basics of different dance forms and inculcates discipline and grace among them.

Chess Room

The school introduces chess to students at an early age to help develop focus, sharpen their mental faculties and perfect their chess-playing skills. Students are encouraged to participate in various inter-school tournaments from a very young age.

The Science Park

This park features various exhibits that break down complex ideas and demonstrate them through interactive models.

The exhibits on display at the RSJMS Science Park include - Levers, Solar eclipse model, Sundial, Periscope, Rope and pulley lifting models and Newton's Disc - Colour scattering.

Outdoor play area - A hub of joy

The vibrant outdoor play area, specially designed for our pre-primary students is an exciting space filled with colorful equipment and age-appropriate activities that foster imagination, creativity, and physical development.

The play area is a hub of joy and discovery where the little ones can explore, learn, and grow in a safe and stimulating environment, surrounded by nature and fresh air.

LEARNING CENTRE

The Learning Centre, a centre for special education needs, provides specialized support and a differentiated learning environment for children with learning challenges and cognitive difficulties. With parental consent, a team of trained counsellors and special educators provide support to children who have physical, emotional or learning differences and struggle in traditional academic settings. To ensure a progressive growth index in students, regular interactive sessions are held between stake holders. The school counsellors also handle all behavioral issues and address students during weekly classroom sessions and special assemblies.

Conference Room

The school conference room serves as a versatile space for various activities. It is used to host administrative meetings, parent-teacher conferences and staff meetings.

Equipped with latest technology it is often used for video conferencing, virtual meetings, and digital presentations, making it an essential hub for communication, collaboration, and innovation within the school.

Infirmary

The school has a First-Aid Centre run by Apollo Life, with a qualified physician and two trained nurses available at all times. It is equipped with facilities to ensure that students are attended to if they report sick, or get minor injury. Parents are immediately intimated and requested to take their ward home if he/she is unfit to spend the day in school. An ambulance is available in school from 7:30 am – 3:30 pm every day. All students are insured under Group Personal Accident Insurance Policy (GPAIP), wherein in-patient and out-patient medical expenses arising out of accidents are covered up to a specific amount.

Art Room

The purest form of self-expression, art stimulates imagination, develops aesthetic sense and fosters individualistic thought and collaborative spirit. As important as any other core subject, art is known to improve test score, attitude, social skills, critical and creative thinking. Students are given the freedom to express their emotions and feelings through art.

During the weekly art period, students of classes Nursery to KG, are taught the basics and gradually progress to learning techniques of producing masterpieces under the guidance of their teacher.

Clay Room

While discovering how to make basic shapes/forms with clay, children develop hand-brain coordination and improve dexterity. Taught to students of classes Nursery to P5, Clay Modelling provides opportunities to be creative and improves attention span. Playing with clay products, pinching it, rolling it, squeezing it into shapes also relaxes young minds. The school has two well-equipped Clay Rooms, where students begin to create wonderful pieces from a very early age under the guidance of a skilled instructor.
