The first Rudra Prize was awarded to Sardar Bhagwant Singh. The prize is named after Sushil Kumar Rudra, Principal St. Stephen's College, one of the earliest proponents of the school.

The foundation stone for the gymnasium is laid by a prominent Delhi businessman and philanthropist Lala Hanuman Prasad. Named after his father, the gymnasium is called Chunni Lal Gymnasium.

Her Excellency, Marchioness of Linlithgow inaugurates the gymnasium and the swimming pool . The funds for the construction of the swimming pool have been provided by the government and Lala Shankar Lal, Secretary, Delhi Cloth and General Mills.
Staff and students put up a variety show for scholarships for deserving students and raise Rs 1000.
Sir John Sargent, Educational Commissioner, visits the school and attends the monthly 'Social Hour' with students.

Dalai Lama visits the school and specifically the Hall of Religions, where prayers of all denominations are held every Thursday.

Kanjoos, an adaptation of Moliere's L'Avare by Hazrat Awara, directed by Mr. Ved Vyas, is staged by the alumni of the school. The first play establishes a tradition of theatre for entertainment.

R.D. Goyal joined Modern School as a teacher of History in 1943. In 1968, he took over as the Headmaster of the Junior School and served in this capacity till 1975. He then moved over to Senior School and worked there till 1979. Known to be a kind, unassuming and humble person, he will be always remembered with a lot of respect for his devotion and dedication towards the cause of education.

Extracts from various Shakespearean plays, with diverse emotions as the common thread, were woven into a musical for the Valedictory Function for class 5 students in - 'Mind, Will and Shakespeare- a Montage'. Tom Alter, renowned theatre and film personality was the Chief Guest and Sagarika Ghose, Senior Editor with CNN-IBN was the Guest of Honour.
To support the initiative launched by Goonj- an NGO working for the betterment of underprivileged children, the school collected under-utilised school material brought in by students, and donated it. Ever since, this practice has become a constant feature in reaching out to the less privileged.
On the Founder's Day, students of classes P4, P5 presented an adaptation of the Hindi epic- 'Rashmirathi' by Ramdhari Singh Dinkar, the poet laureate of India. Dr Harshvardhan, Hon'ble Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change, GOI, was the Chief Guest.
The students of P4 and P5 presented 'Ek Pyaar Ka Nagma Hai', a programme which chronicled the life, achievements and the glorious career of Lata Mangeshkar, one of the most popular and charismatic playback singers of all times. The Chief Guest on the occasion was Shri Ashok Pratap Singh, Senior Trustee and Former President Board of Trustees, Modern School.
This award is instituted in memory of late Sardar Bhagwant Singh by his family. Deserving students of Class P5 receive this award for excellence in literary pursuits, creativity in verbal and written expression on the Valedictory Ceremony for P5 students.
The students presented 'Full Circle' - a show dedicated to the life and works of William Shakespeare on the occasion of Founder's Day celebration. Shri Rajiv Pratap Rudy, Union Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship was the Chief Guest.
The first Founder's Day Function of the school is held. A presentation by students of classes P3-P5- 'Invictus' is dedicated to the achievements of people of African descent and how despite their accomplishments, the community still is a victim of ostracism and social injustice. The Chief Guest was Her Excellency, Ms Gennet Zewide, Ambassador of the Federal Republic Democratic of Ethiopia in New Delhi. The Guest of Honour was His Excellency High Commissioner of Ghana, Mr Samuel Panyin Yalley.
'Om Hiranyagarbhaya Namah'- (Salutation to the Golden Womb) - depicting the glory and grandeur of the Sun, was presented at the Founder's Day function. It captured the myriad facets of the sun as the symbol of life, hope, power, strength, enlightenment and positivity. Ms Anupama Raag, a bureaucrat from the UP cadre was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
An eight-lane, 200 mtrs synthetic athletic track - made with high performance polyurethane sports surface is laid out for the students to train in running. Students availed the facility of a new cricket pitch and a well laid-out soccer field in the same year.
Students of classes P3-P5 participated in a presentation on the occasion of the school's Founder's Day that traced the route of the famous network of roads- 'The Silk Route'. Dr Sambit Patra, National Spokesperson of Bhartiya Janata Party was the Chief Guest.
At the Asian Conference on Education (ACE) in Tokyo, organized by International Academic Forum (IAFOR) the Headmistress, Manju Rajput presented a paper titled 'Social Inclusion: A systemic approach to child's well-being'.
