Raghubir Singh Junior Modern School was established with a vision to give young students a free and loving environment to nurture their innate abilities, to focus on young minds in their formative years and to mould them into well-grounded global citizens. The school has always endeavoured to take the best from the East and the West while remaining rooted to its traditional moorings. Even after more than 60 years of its inception, the vision of the founder father, Lala Raghubir Singh Ji, has been kept alive by a dedicated team of management, teachers and staff, which resonates in the very fabric of the school.

Message From The Chairman
Our Founder, Lala Raghubir Singh established Modern School in 1920 as an “experiment in education.” The endeavour was to provide the coming generations of Indians, aspiring to be free, an education built on modern precepts but at the same time rooted in India’s glorious past.
RSJMS was established in 1961 as the Primary branch from where the students then graduate to the Senior School at Barakhamba Road. RSJMS, guided by the philosophy of its Founder, has carved out a unique name for itself in providing a holistic education. The sports field is as important as the classroom. Each child is encouraged to explore, enjoy and learn not only in the classroom but also on the sports field and on the stage. The emphasis is to help each child gain the confidence to meet the challenges which lay ahead. The facilities provided in the School are not only state of the art but have been the trend setters in the field of primary education.
The faculty, other staff and parents work together to foster a nurturing and enriching environment for the students. Towards this end, the PTA is very active, with elections held every year, and plays a significant role in the School’s activities.
