Classrooms Equipped With Smart Boards

All classes, from Nursery to P5, have been converted into Smart Board Digi Classes where teachers supplement curriculum with the installed resource data bank that is subject and class specific. Smart Boards make the teaching-learning process more effective for visual and auditory learners. Using technology, teachers are able to explain concepts and create a stimulating learning environment for students.

Computer labs

RSJMS has two state-of-the-art computer laboratories, where students of classes P1 to P5 are taught computer science on latest systems with updated configuration and high-end multimedia facilities. A suitable curriculum designed in partnership with NIIT, along with smart pedagogical practices, is the mainstay of teaching technology to students.

Library

Through a specifically designed Library Learning Programme, a variety of activities are carried out with the objective of encouraging students to acquire the love for reading. Story narration supplemented by visual aids, listening to stories through audios, post-listening creative activities, visits by eminent authors of children’s books, writing book reviews and summaries, watching informative and enjoyable audio video CDs – all contribute towards enhancing learning.

Continuous and quality training programmes empower the librarian to make the library a vibrant knowledge hub, where students are urged to explore the world through the pages of books. The library is well-stocked with a wide range of books that include fiction, non-fiction, encyclopedias, reference books and magazines. New books are regularly added, both for students and teachers.

Doris David Auditorium

The Doris David Auditorium of the school is a spacious, air-conditioned hall, furnished with a big stage and the state-of-the-art light and sound equipment that can be connected and controlled digitally. All morning assemblies, school events and functions and inter-school events are held here.

Specialised Help And Counselling

A centre for special education needs, called the Learning Centre, provides specialized help and a differentiated learning environment to children with learning challenges and cognitive difficulties. With parental consent, a team of trained counsellors and special educators, provide support to children who have physical, emotional or learning differences and struggle in traditional academic settings.

To ensure a progressive growth index in students, regular interactive sessions are held between stake holders. The school counsellors also handle all behavioural issues and address students during weekly classroom sessions and special assemblies.
