Sardar Bhagwant Singh Literary Research Project for P5 2017-18

This award instituted in the memory of Late Sardar Bhagwant Singh, endeavours to cultivate and promote good reading habits amongst children. It comprises of three rounds. The first round of the event was held on 26.07.2017. This year, the students were asked to read about the life and achievements of the famous American author Mark Twain and his popular book, Adventures of Tom Sawyer. For the second round held on 01.11.2017, the shortlisted students were further assessed through thought provoking written assignments on another widely read book by Mark Twain - ‘The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn’. Based on their performance in the second round, 15 students were selected for an interactive session with a panel of expert judges on 19th December 2017. After this interactive session, four deserving students were selected for the Award and will be honoured on the occasion of the Valedictory Ceremony for P5 students to be held on 22.03.2017.

English Elocution for P4

In an endeavour to motivate children to inculcate public speaking ability and enhance their oratorical skills, an intra-section English Elocution competition was organized for the students of P4 on 19.07.2017. In all, 26 children participated and got an opportunity to exhibit their talent. The children chose a variety of poems and recited them with a lot of zeal and enthusiasm. Each of the participants was awarded a book and a certificate. The winners of the competition were as follows: First Prize: Krishna Puri P4-G Second Prize (shared by): Divij Wahi & Riddhima Sabharwal P4-D Third Prize:Nergis Malhotra P4-B Prize for Good Effort (shared by): Ameera Singh & Zara Javed P4-D
