Summer Camp in Sports

In an endeavour to provide students a platform to participate in a sport of their choice and hone their skills in their preferred sport, a Sports Camp was held in the school premises for students of classes P3, P4 & P5 from 12th May to 23rd May 2014.

Conducted by the sports faculty of the school, training was imparted in cricket, football, chess, table tennis, badminton, gymnastics and basketball during this period.
More than 185 students participated in the camp. Various competitions like The Fitness Day and Match Day were also conducted for the children. The activities helped to keep the curiosity of the children alive. The Summer Camp was all about learning and fun, an event where boredom took a backseat!!

Presentation on Turkey: In order to broaden the students’ horizon, and give them an insight into the history, culture and topographical variations of different regions of the world, the present P5 were provided the opportunity to visit Turkey- Izmir, Kusadasi and Istanbul – in the month of March, 2014.

The group made a presentation on 7th May  2014, showcasing the  beautiful places visited  and sights seen by them.  The students and teacher  escorts recounted their  amazing experiences  during the trip, through a  slide presentation and  photographs of their  travel. Turkish words and  phrases, they had learnt  on the trip, were also  shared. The event ended  with a beautiful Turkish  Folk dance.The event was graced by the presence of Ms. Ambika Pant, Trustee and Member, Managing Committee, RSJMS along with parents and other members from the students’ families.
