Immersion Programme With Teresa Berganza School, Madrid, Spain

A group of 20 students, escorted by their School Principal, Vice Principal and teachers arrived in Delhi on Friday 17.02.2017. The next day, the group arrived at the school premises to witness the Junior Sports Day of classes KG and P2 and enjoyed every bit of the show.
On 20.02.2017, the group formally came to RSJMS for the Indian leg of the Immersion Programme between the two schools. Over the 4 days at RSJMS, our friends from TBS were treated to a variety of fun activities and the children attended classes in various subjects like English, Mathematics and Science. In the games field, the students got a chance to play various sports like basketball, football and the traditional Indian sport – kho kho. The artistic talent of the young students was on display at the craft class, computer class and the pottery session, especially organised for them.
A farewell assembly held on the last day was attended by Mr Ashok Pratap Singh, President Board of Trustees, Modern Schools, Mr Carlos Varona, Director, Instituto Cervantes and Mr Pedro Navarro Serrano, Head of Studies, Instituto Cervantes. Also present on the occasion were parents of the students, who had visited Spain in October, and the members of the PTA.
To give a glimpse of the Spanish culture, the visitors treated everyone to a Spanish song followed by some dancing. The programme ended with the national anthems of both countries.
