RSJMS Choir sings for His Holiness – The Dalai Lama – An Unforgettable Experience. The RSJMS choir had the proud privilege of being invited to present the welcome song at the inaugural edition of ‘ The Annual ITIHAAS Address 2017 ‘ that was presided by His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
The event organized by the Indian Traditions and Heritage Society, was held at the Convent of Jesus and Mary School, on 6th Feb 2017 and was attended by a large number of students and teachers from various schools of Delhi.
In a mesmerizing ‘jugalbandi ‘ of sorts, the world renowned speed painter, Mr Vilas Nayak, who has the ability to create masterpieces in minutes created a beautiful portrait of His Holiness as our students rendered their musical offering. The effort of the young singers of RSJMS was much appreciated by His Holiness as well as the members of the audience.
His Holiness spoke to the children about inner peace vs world peace, importance of trust between people and nations, religious tolerance and harmony- amongst many others. The experience was a fulfilling and meaningful one for everyone present.
