GUJARAT

68 students accompanied by the Headmistress and four teachers went for a six day educational trip to the state of Gujarat. The children were first taken to Ahmedabad where they visited Sabarmati Ashram, Adalji Stepwell and Akshardham Temple. The children also got an opportunity to view the spectacular light and sound show at the temple in the evening and got to visit the milk capital of India, Anand, a place famous for spearheading the milk revolution by AMUL dairy. At the factory, the children were taken on a guided tour around the entire campus and were explained the processes from start to finish in detail.

The highlight of this trip was the students’ interactive meeting with the Governer of Gujarat, Shri Om Prakash Kohli. The children got to know about the duties and responsibilities of the Governer of a state and also enjoyed some light moments with Shri Kohli.

The group was also taken to Somnath Temple and Gir Forest National Park, a wildlife sanctuary established to protect Asiatic lions, where they enjoyed the Devalia Safari. Overall, the trip was extremely enriching and informative.
