VOCAL MUSIC COMPETITION FOR STUDENTS OF P4 & P5

Under the banner " RISING STARS "an intra school vocal music competition was held on 14th and 15th July,2015 for classes P4 and P5 respectively. After a round of auditions, 20 participants from P4 and 25 participants from P5 were selected for the finals. The participants sang songs in various genres i.e. Indian Classical, Semi Classical and Western music. The competition was adjudged by Ms. Shikha Ganguly and Ms. Anita Seth, professionals in the field of Music. The winners of the competition are:

Handmade Dolls Exhibition by all sections of P2

15th May 2015 saw the P2 corridor at R.S.J.M.S brimming with activity as the children displayed their creations in the Art room. Children had made dolls from ice-cream spoons, ice-cream sticks and disposable plastic spoons. There were a variety of handmade dolls on display where creativity and innovation was at its best. A recent educational visit from the school to the Shankar’s Dolls Museum clubbed with the craft activity helped the children acknowledge the effort put in to make and maintain the dolls. The children thoroughly enjoyed themselves and had a great time dressing up their dolls.

DANCE COMPETITION FOR STUDENTS OF P4 AND P5

An intra-school dance competition was held on 12th and 13th May 2015 for the students of classes’ P4 and P5 respectively. After a round of auditions, 22 students from P4 and 27 students from P5 made it for the final competition.

The contestants showcased different dance forms from Indian classical, Indian folk to contemporary and ballet. The competition was adjudged by Ms. Shinjini Kulkarni, Ms. Athirs Thomas, Ms. Ragini Maharaj and Ms. Anuradha Gautam.
