The students of P4 went on a four day educational trip to Pune, Mahabaleshwar and Panchgani in April 2015. In Pune, they visited the Aga Khan Palace, one of the biggest landmarks in Indian history and Shinde Chhatri dedicated to Mahadji Shinde. Enroute Mahabaleshwar, they visited the famous – Mapro Jam factory where they learnt about the journey of strawberries from the field to bottles. Apart from the picturesque beauty of Panchgani, the students also enjoyed the visit to the Pratapgarh Fort, built to mark the victory of the great Maratha Ruler, Shivaji. The children thoroughly enjoyed themselves during the trip and came back well informed.

The valedictory ceremony for the outgoing batch of class P5 students (2014-2015) was held on 27.03.2015. The Chief Guest on the occasion was Justice Leela Seth, the first woman to become the Chief Justice of a High Court in India. The occasion was also graced by Mrs. Ambika Pant, Trustee, Modern Schools.
The programme commenced with the lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest and the Headmistress, Mrs. Manju Rajput. This symbolized the igniting of the fire of knowledge in students. Thereafter, the Headmistress welcomed the parents and other distinguished guests. This was followed by the Awards Presentation Ceremony, wherein deserving students were honoured for their academic excellence and meritorious performance in co-curricular activities. The school magazine ‘Sandesh’ was released by the Chief Guest. In her address, the Chief Guest emphasized the importance of value-based education for holistic development of a child’s personality. The morning was dedicated to the students of P5. Teachers spoke about each child, highlighting their talents and aspirations. It was a poignant event which celebrated the success of students and gave them a warm sendoff.
Ever since its foundation laid by Lala Raghubir Singhji in the year 1920, the family of RSJMS is enlarging. This year too, the new entrants of classes Nursery and KG were warmly inducted into the family.
An orientation programme for the parents was held on 10th April 2015 to welcome and familiarise them with the ethos of the School and the spirit behind its methodology. The Headmistress, Mrs. Manju Rajput in her address to the parents stressed on inculcating good moral values in children and reiterated the fact that the school’s curriculum is child centric, designed and planned with the aim to develop a well-rounded, socially skilled, healthier student.
An informative session, supplemented by an audio visual presentation, highlighting the school’s infrastructure, classroom teaching practices, sports, co-curricular activities, outdoor visits, national and international excursions that make learning joyful and effective was conducted. Excerpts from the film 'School of all Seasons' along with interviews of some distinguished ex students were also showcased. Last but not the least, all the members of the Nursery and KG faculty were formally introduced to the parents.
The programme concluded with the belief that education can be likened to a great big canvas and at RSJMS, the students are encouraged to throw as much paint as they can on the canvas of their education.
