A group of students from Class P5 participated in a week long Immersion Programme with Nanyang Primary School, Singapore from 11th January to 16th January, 2015. During school hours, the students gathered insight into the culture and traditions of the country through a series of interesting, interactive classes and creative activities. The latter half of the day was spent in sight-seeing and visits to various places of interest like Gardens by the Bay, Sentosa Island and the Universal Studios.They also enjoyed the famous night safari, the Jurong Bird Park, which is home to 8000 birds of 600 species and the spectacular light and sound show ‘The wings of time’.

A special assembly was organised by the Spanish faculty of the school wherein the entire proceeding was conducted in Spanish, right from the morning prayer to the birthday wishes for the students. Dramatization of a Spanish poem followed by New Year greetings delivered in the language kept the audience engrossed. A virtual tour, through a slide presentation of photographs taken by students on their recently concluded trip to Spain, transported all to the beautiful Mediterranean country. Children and teacher escorts shared their experiences of the Student Exchange Programme to Spain. Certificates were given to the winners of La Feria' 2014- an Inter School Spanish competition. The assembly concluded with the national anthems of India and Spain.
The festival of Lohri was celebrated with great enthusiasm in the school campus on 13th of January. The teachers explained the significance of Lohri and its association with the harvest of rabi crops. A bonfire was lit and the teachers and children danced joyfully on the traditional folk songs associated with the festival. After the celebration, seasonal savouries and sweets were distributed.
